About
I am a Polish-Welsh designer focusing on womenswear with a real passion for embroidery. For my projects I take a lot of inspiration from my life and travels.
In Poland there is a prevailing view that LGBT+ identities and so called ‘traditional’ family and cultural values cannot go together, that LGBT people are a threat to people, society and religion, Living in Poland as a LGBT+ person is an act of resistance against the right wing Catholic government and I want this collection to be a manifestation of the sentence ‘existence is an act of resistance’ and a visual show of hope that in the future it doesn’t have to be and both society, religion and the LGBT+ community can all live in harmony together.
I spent a year in Valencia, in Spain, and there I fell in love with the oranges growing everywhere, which in turn inspired me to look into the fruit itself, which encouraged me to embroider drawing ideas from the orange fruuits.
