Enrico Provasi (Monza, July 30, 2003) is a young designer based in Milan who graduated from NABA—Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti—and has also gained experience abroad at IADE—Faculdade de Design, Tecnologia e Comunicação in Lisbon—and Aalto University in Helsinki.
In his work, he adopts an interdisciplinary approach and combines design, art, and architecture in a rational and pragmatic way.
He explores the boundaries of production methods and aesthetics with the aim of making his projects a place of encounter.
In a world saturated with signs, objects, and conditions that are constantly “full,” emptiness comes in as a necessary break, a space of suspension. By exploring emptiness as the matrix of the project, subtraction loses its purely aesthetic value and becomes a generative tool. The relationship between fullness and emptiness thus takes on a dynamic and continuous dimension, guiding its transformation. The elements of the project, as outcomes of the same original tension, in which absence becomes relationship and emptiness manifests itself as a space of possibility, not as a lack to be filled but as a necessary condition.
