I have recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University and completed a FdA in Graphics and Digital Design at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.
I like to work with black-and-white images and typography to communicate messages. I admire the relationship between the mediums.
I became interested in monochrome images contrasted with colour when researching artists and working on concepts for a branding and advertising module partnered up with design agency STENCIL.
I developed a fascination for designing title sequences for television programmes from rebranding the title credits for Stranger Things for a module.
I am fascinated with the Dada and Punk movement. I like that the styles use collages as their visual language. My favourite artists are Hannah Hoch, Raoul Hausmann, Linder Sterling and Jamie Reid. I wrote a dissertation on how Dada influenced punk design.
I am passionate about producing awareness campaigns. It is interesting how the message is creative and official simultaneously.
I noticed that there are homeless people around Nottingham City Centre, and people often walk past them. So, I was inspired to raise awareness of homeless invisibility. I created a branded guerilla marketing campaign encouraging people to acknowledge their humanity.
