About
I’m Bruno Tunganirwa, 24 years old, a woman and menswear fashion student at IFA Paris.
"SEE YOU Later" is my graduate collection about the many facets of grief and how you make peace with the absurdity of life. Inspired by my own relationship with grief, my aim with this project was to capture the emotions, thoughts and experiences one goes through during the grieving process. With this project I wanted to use silhouettes and designs that capture the emotions that I associate with grief from harsh and structured silhouettes reflecting the heaviness and turbulence that can come with grief. Flowing and draped fabrics reflecting the different waves of emotions and the unpredictability and confusion that grief can bring. Ultimately with this project I sought to create a space for reflection, healing and I hope this collection can be a form of catharsis and opens up conversations about loss and the profound impact it has on individuals lives.
