Reimagining the Siren as a figure of attraction and fear, my work reclaims her as a symbol of feminine reverence. Moving through myth and legend, she embodies the complex interplay of nature, body, and feminine power. Through explorative fabric manipulation and draping, I evoke the textures of her world, crafting pieces that blur the lines between garment and wearer.
This collection reimagines the Siren, a figure of cross-cultural attraction and fear, as a symbol of reverence for women. Coursing through myth and legend, the Siren embodies patriarchal fear of feminine seduction and power. Achieved through an exploration into fabric manipulation and draping, the designs evoke the textures of the Sirens environment, exploring the complex interplay between nature, the body and femininity.
