About
Hi, I’m Anneke, a recent Pratt Institute graduate who studied Illustration with an emphasis on Integrative BioIllustration! Based in Washington, D.C., my work centers on illustrating plants and animals, blending naturalist observation with storytelling.
Cicada Song is a 32 page children’s book following the story of a cicada nymph as he emerges from the ground and struggles to sing his song. As he travels through the forest, he meets other singing animals and tries to learn from them, eventually learning that he needs to wait and molt from his shell before he can sing.
