Amelia Peng is a textile design and specialises in R&D (research & development). Her expertise encompasses project planning, management, advanced concepts, and sustainable strategies, reflecting her innovative vision. She has worked as a textile designer for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and focusing on fabric R&D projects for Hermès, Adidas, Nike, and global supply chain management for Lululemon. Her aesthetic creations have been awarded the Best Talent Designer in 2002, showcased in exhibitions, including Première Vision Paris (2011-2016), ISPO Award 2015, and the London Design Biennale 2023.

The Music-Mind-Textile project represents a groundbreaking fusion of artistry, technology, and mindfulness, captivating audiences at prestigious events such as the RCA 2023 Kensington exhibition, Fashion-District Festival, and London Design Biennale 2023. It brings together a diverse team, including Amelia Peng, MA Textiles student from the Royal College of Art; accomplished composers from the Royal College of Music; the expertise of Foster + Partners' Specialist modeling group; and Italian textile weaver Dreamlux. This collaborative endeavor showcases the project's commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, seamlessly integrating the realms of Art, Design, Science, and Technology. "Inner Peace" enacts a metaphorical soul-purification, offering a unique rite of passage towards a new era of universal empathy. highlighting the wisdom of God and the generosity of Earth. At the heart of Music-Mind-Textile lies an enchanting "Waterfall-like" installation that flawlessly merges original musical compositions with innovative smart-textiles art installations. By allowing the audience's emotions to shape the visual and auditory experience, the textile traverses the impressive installation and is programmed to tune in with the collective emotional state, projecting the public's feelings through its color fluctuations - "Seeing Music in Colour". This harnesses the evocative power of music and immersive multi-sensory textiles, taking the audience on a transformative journey of rediscovering inner peace and heralding "The Future of the Mind." During Biennale Talk " Threads of Mindful Innovation " The project fosters social engagement and inclusivity, empowering individuals, particularly those with diverse neurological perspectives, while unveiling the inherent therapeutic qualities embedded within the integration of music and textiles. This immersive experience sparks introspection, fosters meaningful connections, and strives to enhance mental well-being. Music-Mind-Textile harnesses the transformative potential of design to cultivate mindfulness and inner peace, aligning with the awareness of Health, Education, and Innovation. The project culminates in a transformative experience that embraces inclusiveness towards a sustainable future.
