Hi! My name’s Amalie and I’m a recent graduate from Norwich Univeristy of the Arts with a First Class degree in Games Art & Design- specifically 3D Asset Production!
I love organic environments, foliage, and texture creation following more stylised approaches, and am inspired by fantasy and adventure games more than anything.I hope you enjoy my work! Please see my Artstation for more~
The Jungle Spirit temple is my most challenging piece of work so far, aiming to highlight the beauty of the natural world and past lives lost to nature. I was particularly inspired by the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia for this piece- which I highly recommend checking out for the most amazing combination of nature and history. With this being my Final Major Project at Norwich University of the Arts, I feel it really showcases my development and interest in organic environments, material creation and tech art in Unreal Engine. For this project I wanted to explore a slightly more realistic scene, and while this came with its own challenges, I am thrilled with both what it’s taught me in the past 5 months and the final result! I particularly enjoyed challenging myself to explore a deeper understanding of blueprint creation and explore the capabilities of in-engine development, especially when creating my first master material using RGB masks/maps too. I am thrilled with the overall outcome and using animation really helped bring it to life (see my YouTube link)!
