About
Reduced, graphical formal language with an awareness of sustainable and social designs. At the intersection of consumer criticism and yet interested in the material culture, with which we identify.At the intersection of digital fabrication and craft, i prefer global regionalism to global industry. Regionalism but re-imagined, without eclectic connotations. I like intersections.
The project focuses on visual and temporary intimacy in shared living spaces. The room divider allows flexible zoning for needs-based living and working. In the focus of the reduced design is a translucent, textile surface. The result creates a behind and an in front, without depriving the room of its daylight. Inspired by telescope furniture, the object is adjustable to the desired living room height and is clamped between the ceiling and floor. VNC was realized using digital tools in design and production and can be manufactured globally, regionally due to this aspect.
