hi im ayai am a 27-year-old fashion designer based in Tel Aviv, Israel. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in fashion design from Shenkar College. Specializing in manipulating fabrics, I always begin my designs by creating/defining my custom-made textile. Sustainability lies at the heart of my work, as I utilize recycled, up-cycled, and vintage materials in my creationsI am committed to pushing the boundaries of fashion and constantly exploring the development of new designs and materials.
The belief that every product destined for disposal after its use has significant consequences on the environment and society. The collection delves into the 'trash culture' - a mindset accepting and promoting waste and overconsumption. In the collection, I look at everything that has 'finished its function' and is now considered trash - dead stock, textile waste, and consumer products that have been thrown away. and by Using a maximalism approach that highlights a 'more-is-more' attitude And through disassembling and assembling, embroidery, patchwork, and other slow processes, I want to give trash a new glamours life
