Charles Nyiha is a Kenyan digital artist and electronic musician based in London, whose work explores the intersections of mathematics, computation, and spirituality. Through intricate patterns and rhythms, both in visual and auditory mediums, Nyiha strives to uncover the metaphysical reality within digital systems. His work aims to illuminate the hidden spaces where technology and spirituality intertwine, challenging our perception of the digital as a mere tool, instead revealing its inherent spiritual potency.
Charles Nyiha's 'Transmissions' series is a collection of algorithmic visual art screenprinted onto metal plates. Inspired by light and the Golden Record sent to space, the series aims to communicate complex messages, akin to interstellar transmissions. Using computational methods, Nyiha creates intricate patterns and shapes that resemble artifacts from a superintelligent alien civilization. Each piece hints at a coded message, decipherable by future technologies. The series captures a sense of timelessness, as if intended for recipients living centuries in the future.
