About

My work explores the intersection of nature, sustainability, and hands-onphotographic experimentation. Inspired by wild landscapes, natural textures, andthe subtle ways humans interact with their environment, I use photography toinvestigate our connection to the world around us.Working primarily with analog and alternative processes: such as cyanotypes, anthotypes, and caffenol development. I incorporate plant pigments, glass, sand, and other natural materials, treating the environment as both subject andcollaborator.Sustainability and tactile methods are central to my practice. I focus on a slow, intentional process that invites careful observation, encouraging viewers to noticetextures, patterns, and the delicate balance of ecosystems.Through visual storytelling, I aim to share moments that are intimate, vulnerable, and joyful, fostering a deeper awareness of the natural world and inspiringthoughtful engagement with it.The captivating aesthetics of my images are always underpinned by substantialresearch, with my projects intertwining conceptual substance and visualseduction.Based between the Netherlands, Belgium, and California, I integrate personalexperiences, ecological awareness, and scientific curiosity into my work.My practice reflects a commitment to exploring alternative ways of makingimages that are environmentally conscious.Ultimately, I use photography not only to capture the beauty and complexity ofnature but also to provoke reflection on our role within it, inspiring both personaland collective mindfulness in the way we relate to our surroundings

Touched by Mycelium

Specialisms:

Photography Fine Art Film

Touched by Mycelium explores the invisible networks that sustain life beneath our feet. Fascinated by mycelium’s quiet power, I focus on its ability to connect roots, trees and ecosystems, supporting forests and biodiversity. By removing humans from the images, I shift attention toward natural systems while inviting reflection on our responsibility to them. Across moving images, an accordion book and photographs, the work explores mycelium as both visible and invisible, documentation and fascination. I aim to create a sense of care through visually engaging images, while making the work as sustainably and non-toxic as possible, using materials and processes that minimize environmental impact and reflect the interconnectedness of mycelium.
