About
I am a fashion designer attending Parsons School of Fashion, New York City who combines fashion design and fine art to present my work. Based on my experiences living in various places, I combine Eastern traditions with Western cultures, and I create modern and forward-looking designs by combining history and the future. Also, my collection includes the delicate fabric textile details, the utilization of colors, or the delicacy of illustrations.
The tie has a phrase of rebellion, The jacket has a crack in uniformity, and The skirt has breath of freedom. This womenswear collection draws inspiration from the rebellious subcultures of Teddy Girls and Sukeban, who reinterpreted uniforms to assert their identity and presence in society.By examining how uniforms regulate identity through institutional power, the collection challenges imposed conformity while embracing individuality within uniformity.Deconstructed tailoring, shrunken or oversized proportions, and printed text transform the tie, jacket, and skirt into symbols of resistance, exposing tension between discipline and freedom.
