Designer experienced in Visual Communication, Creative Direction, Graphic Design & Art Direction. Guided by Research and Concept, and led by the hand of experimentation to carry out the projects. We believe in the process and the conceptual experimentation of the project as the essence that marks the final product.
We support constant work, human movement and constant dedication. Coming from a humble family, where achievements have been earned through scholarships and jobs thanks to the people who have supported us along the way and believed in the same goal.
We look towards a future in which we are interested in questioning the transformation of our current identity. The change of our communication and the transformation of society through a new world between the digital and the physical, bringing about new paradigms that we could conceive of as phygital.
The mirrored self. reflections of our virtual persona
Mirrored Self investigates the evolution of identity through the media it’s exposed and analyzes how is evolving in the current era of virtual self-representation. From a critical and reflective point of view, we question and reflect on the awareness of how identity construction is being limited by the medium through which it is exposed. The project specifically focuses on the human face, considered the apex of self-expression and identity marker, and presents a speculative scenario where a biometric defense mechanism is proposed to protect against those limitations. This defense mechanism integrates through coding, serves as a protective layer, and a double skin of yourself for preserving and supporting the users’ freedom to express themselves in the ways they see fit while encouraging an interpersonal dialogue between users, promoting touch as a novel means of expression. The ultimate goal of this project is to raise user awareness of their limitations due to digital technification, ultimately aiming to empower users to better understand and navigate their digital environments. The project is a declaration to the future to investigate the importance of interpersonal human dialogue, balancing the physical and sensory environment with the digital one.
