Specializing in the integration of high-end production techniques with conceptual fashion and costume.
The Marionette explores how pattern cutting and strategic colour placement can suggest a forward-leaning figure within a static garment. Through visual and contextual analysis of Giacometti’s walking sculptures, the project reimagines the body in perpetual motion—simultaneously static and dynamic, frozen mid-act yet intruding upon the space around it. Designed primarily from the profile view, The Marionette develops a “forward cut” methodology through the repositioning of key anatomical points, body padding, displaced shoulders and armholes, and dynamic profiling. These interventions allow the garment itself to hold the gesture of movement. While theatrical in its visual language, the collection is grounded in the precision and construction of high-end tailoring.
