About

Hi! I'm Jayden Taylor-Shaw, a Games Concept & 3D artist based in the UK. I just graduated with a 1st Class Honours (82%) in Games Art & Design with an awarded Vice-Chancellors Commendation from Norwich University of The Arts. My interests focus on the integration of neuroscience within games art and design.‘The Archivist’, my latest work, is a cross-disciplinary, 81-page concept art book for a hypothetical game that uses neuroscience and philosophical research into compartmentalisation to interpret PTSD/CPTSD.This project looks at emergent technologies, EEG (electroencephalogram) brain scans and their data output, to create new, immersive forms of self-expression that integrates the neurological impact of PTSD into concept art for games. My skills include 3D modelling in ZBrush/Maya, Photoshop, Photo-bashing, UI/UX, rigging and concept art. Furthermore, I collaborate with a musician to create an original soundtracks for my work. Prospectively, I will be exploring aerospace engineering, particularly astronautical, for my PhD.

'The Archivist', my final project, is a cross-disciplinary, 81-page digital concept art book for a hypothetical game that uses neuroscience and philosophical research into compartmentalisation to interpret PTSD/CPTSD. My work looks at how emergent technologies, EEG (electroencephalogram) brain scans and their data output can be used to create new immersive forms of self-expression that integrate the neurological impact of PTSD into concept art for games. Its purpose is to help confront stigmas by cultivating engagement and understanding through its interactive medium. Techniques used include 3D modelling in ZBrush/Maya, Photoshop, Photo-bashing, UI/UX, rigging and concept art. Furthermore, I collaborated with a musician to create an original soundtrack inspired by stages of a PTSD episode.
