Fashion Design and Marketing Graduate specialising in pattern cutting and vintage & deadstock textiles. Recently began developing skills in pattern-cutting software CLO3D and Optitex.As a designer, I enjoy finding inspiration in retro and vintage items e.g., Sindy doll clothes from the 1970s. I also enjoy reimagining classic pieces with an added aspect of sustainable fabrics in the form of vintage & deadstock textiles.
Sindy's wardrobe - sunday sunday
Sunday Sunday's launch collection (Sindy's Wardrobe) draws upon inspiration found in a collection of Sindy doll outfits from the 1970s. Vintage or deadstock textiles to inform design-based decisions with chosen fabrics leading my colour palette for the rest of the collection. Sindy's Wardrobe was created to achieve a general feeling of nostalgia. The key item in the collection is a trench coat with added retro and sustainable design elements. Created from a pair of 1970s curtains, this piece showcases a contemporary interpretation of the classic garment.
