About
I’ve always been drawn to objects as storytellers. Growing up surrounded by my grandparent’s collections of antique telephones, Fostoria glassware, and sterling silverware, I see how objects are vessels of culture, recording shifts in time, aesthetics, technology, and consumer values. This understanding led to my later work in art and design archives, where I’ve come to appreciate the importance of preserving the past, using it as a point of reference, and reimagining it as inspiration. As a designer, I see brands as living archives of identity, experience, and connection. My process is guided by curating what is essential to carry meaning forward in new ways.
My thesis project, Set in the West, offers a contemporary framework for understanding beauty in Western graphic design through the analysis of American art history, commercial printing traditions, and material culture. By re-interpreting artifact and analog processes, my final installation project, prompts viewers to questions what has been lost within current visual culture and what should be recovered.
