About
We are Neomi Dayan Prochnik (26) and Abigail Mucznik (24). We live in Tel Aviv, Israel.We are friends and graduates from the fashion design department in Shenkar College. In our graduation collection we chose to collaborate, in light of our shared interest in Textile development and our love for handcrafts.
The "Crazy Cat Lady" stereotype has traditionally depicted a single, old woman who prefers cats over marriage and children, representing an unconventional woman. Our aim is to empower women who break stigmas and defy social norms. We blend feminine crafts like embroidery and crocheting with computerized knitting and 3D printing. We used natural, recycled textiles, alongside synthetic materials. The collection is eclectic, combining historical and modern, traditional, and technological elements. In our women's collection, the line blurs between conventional and unique garments that challenge identification and definition. We offer a new portrayal of the Crazy Cat Lady as a free, authentic woman, who unapologetically chooses what makes her feel good. She is not crazy but an updated female model for 2024.
