Hey, my name is Qiqi Chen. I'm an industrial designer and a graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. My design is driven by intuition, form, and the user experience. I enjoy transforming ideas into meaningful experiences through design. Rather than making a loud statement, I prefer to let the design speak for itself.
With over 1 billion people worldwide living with mental health conditions, ROVA is a smart emotional companion designed for everyday use at home. Moving away from complex device setups, ROVA introduces an intuitive “Grip-Sensing” interaction that activates automatically when the user picks it up through thumb detection. Gentle, progressive vibrations and soothing music create a calming multisensory experience, helping users relax and ease feelings of anxiety in the comfort of their own home. By making emotional well-being a simple part of everyday routines, ROVA offers a more natural and accessible way to pause, reconnect, and unwind.
