Keerthana Uthiramerur is an Indian-Canadian comic artist and illustrator. She blends the narrative sensibilities of the gothic genre with a vibrant and playful approach to colour. The people of Omelas enjoy perfect, prosperous lives. They dance and sing and celebrate. But they are no simple people. Kept underneath in a dark basement is the price for their happiness. The child of Omelas is no simple child. And the decision every person from Omelas has to make is no simple decision. This illustrated adaptation of the short story by Ursula K. Le Guin imagines the city, the people, and the moral dilemma of Omelas.
