About
My name is Niya Yordanova and I am a fashion designer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have just completed my BA in Fashion Design at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. I am highly interested in experimental textile techniques, fashion illustration, and creating garments with avant-garde patterns. In my work, I strive to combine functionality, precise craftsmanship, and strict attention to detail. Blending different textures, colors, and patterns is an essential element of my creative process.
My collection explores the theme of human greed and gluttony, showing how they cause disasters in the modern world. Starting with food as a basic necessity for life, it transforms into a purpose for existence. It becomes a metaphor for the endless hunger for possessions and power. Food is viewed as an object for experiments and modification, creating anomalies in its essence. The collection experiments with forms and colors to create a feeling of excess. The designs disort the human silhouette, just like greed disort human morality.
