About

My Final Collection is the result of my research from my final year portfolio. Studying the Victorian era for my pre-collection with the very distinctive silhouettes and details and then for my portfolio project the 20s as the expression of modern fashion and women. With now more wearable clothes for every day as we recognize the role of the woman in society as a worker. What I found interesting in this journey is that the change came because of the ww1 which gave the woman an official role as a worker. Another interesting thing is that even if the silhouettes are changing the design details from the Victorian era are still existing on the clothes. In my final collection, I wanted to go back to the ww1 and also war wear clothes and create womenswear fashion as an understanding of modern fashion. The puffy pvc expresses the padded garments for protection from the soldiers. The foil texture is the metallic element for protecting the body and the denim as an expression of the workwear clothes which was the reason for the change.
