Knots, Splices and Fancy Work.
A journey through sustainable fashion, crafting, and material exploration, where tradition meets innovation within Passementerie. The art of creating decorative trimmings, such as tassels, fringes, and cords, to add a touch of elegance and luxury to home decor. This intricate craft has been around for centuries and was once a highly valued skill among artisans, I wanted to approach this technique with a fresh perspective. Through diligent experimentation and scaling, i redefined Passementerie to make fully woven garments inspired by the craft. At the heart of this venture lies the essence of handcrafting each piece meticulously composed with handmade tassels, cords, and repurposed furniture. A journey through my exploration of Rococo maximalism, where I challenge the dichotomy of overdressed and underdressed. Drawing inspiration from cinematic masterpieces like "The Favourite" and "Poor Things" I seamlessly blend outerwear with underwear, infusing elements of Rococo maximalism into my designs. With conscientious attention to detail and a passion for pushing boundaries, Both garment tells a story of my personal journey in fashion and design.
