Instassist is an IoT device placed within motorcycle helmets, designed for detecting crashes in rural areas. Once a crash is detected, it transmits a signal to nearby Emergency Medical Services (EMS) containing the rider's location, medical details, vehicle information, and emergency contacts. Its aim is to reduce EMS response times while improving the service's efficiency. The device employs an accelerometer to sense abnormal movement, triggering the GPS module to pinpoint the rider's exact location. If there's no user activity after 90 seconds, the device sends the gathered data to EMS via a satellite GSM module. The device's placement within the helmet ensures protection and durability, while the app allows users to input and modify their medical information. Additionally, the app offers trip initiation, navigation, status updates to EMS, trip analysis, and community interaction features.
