About
I'm a French textile designer based in Paris, graduating with an MFA in Textile and Fashion Design (Textile Design) from the Swedish School of Textiles. My practice puts Jacquard weaving in dialogue with digital tools, not to modernise craft, but to find out what each one reveals about the other. Across my projects, I build hybrid installations that ask what textile can still offer in an increasingly digital culture. The result is sculptural woven forms: surfaces with depth, made to be read by the hand as much as by the eye. Hybrid Surfaces, Textile as a Portal, my MFA project, uses Jacquard reliefs as thresholds between tactile matter and immersive visual space. A textile you can enter. In my work, touch isn't decoration. It's the argument.
Hybrid surfaces, textile as a portal
Today, we mostly experience materials through screens. We scroll, observe and consume images, but rarely touch. As digital spaces increasingly shape our everyday lives, this project questions the future place of textiles within a world moving between physical and digital realities. Hybrid Surfaces, Textile as a Portal explores how woven textiles can become emotional and sensory interfaces between what we see and what we feel, while preserving their tactile presence. Combining Jacquard weaving with Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and AI-generated imagery, the project creates hybrid spaces and experiences filled with amplified textures, shifting atmospheres and tactile illusions. Developed through a dialogue between digital and material experimentation, virtual textures are translated into sculptural woven forms with depth, softness and presence. The work invites viewers to slow down, move closer and rediscover touch within increasingly immaterial environments.
