About
It was not until recently that I realized how my personal spirit was deeply nourished by the Eastern civilization, and my artistic creation was to put the values of eastern civilization, which is gradually forgotten even in the east today, into contemporary art that can be described in the context of western civilization. --Sugimoto.
Once upon a time, in a house near Egypt Street,there lived a rabbit and a little girl. The rabbit lived happily, and the little girl showed him great care and love. However, one day a trip let him accidentally lost, the little girl also so sad fell ill, dying. It has been an extraordinary journey- from the plight of the depths of the ocean to the candlelight of a dream house, from darkness and depression to empty lightness...... The rabbit and the little girl finally redeemed each other, and they all found their way home. This is an adapted fairy tale, in fact, if you watch the film closely, you will find that it is a fusion of three stories, covering different cultural ideas from the East and the West. I combined it with my previous project to nest one story within another, layers falling into the abyss. From empty-to-empty form, the expression is the one, is nothingness of Buddhist thoughts, as well as alchemy. I have always focused on expressing the physical and mental growth of women, and my works strive to reflect the struggle of women in contemporary society against tragic fate and their endless search for integrity.
