I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and currently work as an interior designer specializing in private luxury yachts. Driven by curiosity and sensitivity, I pay close attention to the spoken and unspoken needs, habits, and daily routines of users. This human-centered approach shapes my design process, allowing me to create intuitive and finely crafted spaces.
helm Station for sailing catamarans
This project focuses on the working conditions of professional crews aboard private luxury yachts. Although these vessels are designed for comfort and leisure, the needs of the crew are often overlooked, while owners’ and guests’ expectations take precedence. As a result, helm stations are frequently treated as technical equipment that qualified crew members are expected to adapt to, rather than as carefully designed workplaces. Their private nature also limits external scrutiny, allowing shortcomings to remain unnoticed. The project proposes a shift in perspective, emphasizing the crew’s comfort, safety, ergonomics, and operational efficiency as essential design responsibilities.
