The creation of the series "For what purpose does all this exist?" was inspired by the New Topographics movement, which combines minimalist framing with a critical socio-environmental context. The photographs in this genre are characterized by their depiction of objects in their true, often unappealing light, as they appear in everyday life. The photographers who primarily inspired me for this project are Simon Brodbeck and Lucie de Barbuat, who created "Silent World" series between 2008 and 2011. They portrayed vast urban spaces that should be bustling with life, yet usually feature only one person. The couple was inspired by the photographs of Louis Daguerre, where during long exposures, only those engaged in activities like shoe shining remained visible on the streets. Through the use of long exposure times and the gradual fading of human presence, my work depicts typically crowded and historical places that, without the human element, lose their character and utility, becoming soulless, unrecognizable spaces. The main subject of the photographs is the empty, enclosed space, mostly surrounded by concrete walls. Shoot with Lubitel 166B on Rollei RPX 25 + ND filters
