About
Textile surface design and fashion accessories design is the way I translate the world around me into visual form. I find inspiration everywhere, in architecture, movement, nature, color, and the subtle patterns that exist in everyday life. These observations constantly influence my creative process. When I design, I try to capture these moments and transform them into surfaces that feel dynamic, expressive, and meaningful.For me, textile design is both an artistic exploration and a thoughtful process. I enjoy experimenting with color relationships, geometric structures, and organic forms to build patterns that communicate energy and rhythm. Each design begins with observation and curiosity. From there, I develop ideas through sketches, pattern studies, and surface explorations until the design evolves into a cohesive textile concept.Currently I am enrolled in the Fashion Business Management Program at Houston City College for a secondary A.A.S Degree. I have a Bachelors degree from F.I.T in textile Surface Design. I am aiming for masters in fashion business. I am also doing short courses at university of arts London online and parson school of design one year online program.
Concept – “Fluid Strength” This design explores the balance between structure and movement, combining a sculpted silhouette with dramatic, flowing extensions. The rich red tone symbolizes intensity, confidence, and transformation, while the elongated draped sleeves create a sense of motion and emotional expression. The piece is designed to feel powerful yet fluid—like strength that evolves rather than resists. The gathered texture radiates from the body, emphasizing form while allowing the garment to move organically with the wearer, creating a striking visual narrative of control and release. Sketch Development The sketches play a crucial role in translating this vision into form. Through line work, proportion studies, and drape exploration, the design evolves from concept to structure. The annotated sketch highlights construction points, fabric behavior, and volume placement, ensuring the balance between fitted structure and dramatic flow is intentional. The hand-drawn process allows for experimentation with silhouette, movement, and textile direction, making the final garment both refined and expressive. Sustainability Concept Sustainability is integrated through thoughtful material and construction choices. The design can be developed using responsibly sourced or recycled textiles, with an emphasis on durability and timeless appeal rather than fast-fashion trends. The modular nature of the extended draped elements allows adaptability offering multiple styling possibilities and extending the garment’s lifecycle. By focusing on craftsmanship, quality, and emotional value, the piece encourages long-term wear and reduces waste, aligning fashion with conscious design and mindful consumption.
