I have chosen to follow my theme of ‘Fashion, Romance and Elegance’, drawing inspiration from sources such as Bath and Kingston Lacey and local surroundings that I felt were captivating. In addition, Audrey Hepburn’s grace and elegance has always fascinated me, especially the dress she wore in the movie ‘Sabrina’. The design of the dress was very captivating to me because of the simplicity of it. I believe the colour choice shows empowerment for the audience. The choice of black and white as the main colours for my theme was influenced by her dress in the black and white film, which left a huge influence on me. Her elegance and the simplicity of her attire resonated deeply, inspiring me to use this aesthetic for my work. Furthermore, my creative vision is deeply influenced by the rich heritage of Dior's historic couture collections. I wanted to pay homage to the iconic craftsmanship and unparalleled elegance that have defined his legacy. By delving into Dior's archives, I delved into the essence of their timeless designs, incorporating elements of meticulous tailoring and choosing luxury fabrics. This infusion of Dior-inspired aesthetics infuses my project with a sense of refinement and sophistication, capturing the essence of haute couture while infusing it with my own perspective and creativity.
