About

I am an Interior Designer who sees design as a way of transforming spaces to respond to the people who inhabit them. I am particularly interested in finding the balance between aesthetics, functionality, and the way a space can create emotions and experiences. My degree in Design and Innovation at ELISAVA, together with my experience working in different interior design studios, has allowed me to understand projects from different perspectives and become involved in various stages of the design process, from developing an initial concept and its visual representation to producing technical drawings, selecting materials, creating visualisations, and preparing client presentations. I consider myself a creative, organised, and detail-oriented person. I particularly enjoy the conceptual side of design, while also appreciating everything that is necessary to turn an idea into reality. For me, good design is not only about how a space looks, but also about how it works and how every decision contributes to a coherent and meaningful result. Working as part of a team has taught me to listen, adapt, and learn from the people around me. At the same time, I am a proactive and solution-oriented person, always willing to take on new responsibilities and find solutions when challenges arise. I enjoy being involved in projects, understanding the reasoning behind each design decision, and following their development through to the final result. My goal is to continue growing within the field of interior design, learning from new projects and teams while contributing a creative, thoughtful, and committed approach to every project I take part in.

This Final Degree Project explores how interior design can positively influence the emotional well-being of adolescents living in residential care centres, taking the Garbí Reception Centre as a case study, managed by the intress foundation. The project arises from the intention to rethink these spaces through a more human, sensitive, and inclusive perspective, understanding that the physical environment has a direct impact on emotions, coexistence, and the young residents’ sense of safety. The research is based on the study of the processes carried out by the Child and Adolescent Care Teams (EAIA), adolescent development, neuroarchitecture, and inclusive design, with the aim of identifying spatial criteria that encourage calm, comfort, and emotional support. From this research, a design proposal focused on the creation of calm spaces within the residential centre was developed. The final proposal redefines the space under the staircase as an intimate and protected refuge intended for deep calm, the laundry room as a more pleasant and welcoming environment transformed into a space for active calm, and the upper-floor landing as an area for pause and tranquillity within the daily routine, associated with light calm. Through the use of light, materials, textures, colour, and spatial distribution, the project aims to create warmer, safer, and more supportive environments adapted to the needs of adolescents.
