About

Rose Brown Langtry is a menswear designer graduating her master's degree in Fashion Design in 2022. She specialises in reflective materials, using her own hand-dyeing technique to create reflective menswear in a wide range of colours. Her design philosophy includes many sustainable practices such as zero waste techniques, the use of Supima cotton and deadstock mohair. Her latest collection 'Pink Punk Puke' encourages gentlemen to skate to work, the reflective materials illuminating them at night.

Flash Back boys

“Flash Back Boys” is a pioneering collection designed for gentlemen who commute to work. Menswear fashion designer Rose Brown Langtry has challenged herself to reinvent tartan using contemporary materials. Inspired by skaters, Johnny Rotten and vintage skateboarder magazines, her hand-stitched tartan, graphic t-shirts and mohair knits speak ultimate grunge. Using her own fabric dyeing technique, she has created a range of colourful suits that have one look in the daytime and one at night. Under the flash of a camera the suits transform and glow. sustainability is also a vital component to her practice. This collection uses Supima cotton, dead-stock mohair, zero waste knit techniques and every off-cut has been saved in order to make remnants accessories, minimising waste. The multi-look quality of her garments discourages overconsumption and encourages travelling to work via skateboard to decrease the burning of fossil fuels. The reflective garments are a stylish way to keep you safe on the road. The pieces combine the rebelliousness of a skater with the sleekness of a business man, using glowing puke to turn you into Sex Pistol in 2022. Don’t be afraid to vomit profanity.
