About
My name is Joshua Homer, I'm a MA illustration student attending the Nottingham Trent University . I was initially a Graphic design student, but I felt illustration was more suited to my skills overall. My creative ambitions are to be a conceptual artist. This varies with character design and storyboarding as I like the freedom of experimenting with a variety of different traditional and digital mediums. After I leave University, I'm thinking of freelancing.
For my Ma final project, I wanted to manufacture a brand of clothing that incorporates my interest in urban street art. As someone that is quite particular with fashion this would be a good area to explore and expand my mediums of work. My initial idea for creating a brand of clothing stems from the growing transition that the art industry itself is growing. With the rise of AI art,I understand that I need to branch out to other mediums. This project as a whole will be integral for me to learn from a new perspective, as well as offer a diverse set of work which will appeal to an audience to a professional standard. The demographic targeting for my project are teenagers to young adults around the age group of fifteen to twenty five year old's. I have chosen this specific age group as I feel that young people are more conscious about their appearances in this day and age with social media.
