About

”I breathe design because I believe creative thinking is a key skill to create smarter and more sustainable solutions” My name is Stefan Perriard. I am a Danish designer.I am captivated by what design can be. I often develop my projects with architecture, science, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Together, I think design is my universe where everything is possible. My approach to design is to welcome new challenges, learning about new technologies, meeting people and their needs and give form to stories. During my studies, I have experienced the power of international collaboration. In order to design for more complex situations, I believe that there is a need for multidisciplinary collaborations to accommodate the entire picture

Copenhagen Light Rail is a retake on the planned rail for Copenhagen in 2035. The project shows how the rail can be integrated into car-free streets, enhance the aesthetic qualities of local areas, and make the interior feel inclusive for all passengers. The individual carriages can be turned into mobile healthcare clinics or pop-up shops that are parked at the rail stops. A new type of social and cultural infrastructure that can circulate experiences and goods from each district for a more equal accessible Copenhagen. The train is designed in a modular system, with a local urban look and local manufacturing style. Replacing the need for foreign readymade solutions with something that suits the city and small-scale production. The interior offers seats for singles or couples. A collective bench of flip-up seats makes the entire train into a flex area where bicycles, groups, and wheelchairs can sit like anyone else.
