About

Specialising in the production of glitch audio-visual installation pieces, my work is inspired by club culture, the influenceof digital spaces and media, along with conceptssuchas :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^:::::::::::::::://////////////////‘computational divinity’,\\\\\\\\\\\\\ ‘technological singularity’///////////////////////////////////// and ////////////////////////// ////‘transhumanism’.\…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………......…>The work takes on the form of a spectacle, a modern spiritual ———————premonition, presenting itself as a multi channel video on retro CRT————-screens and studio monitors accompanied by experimental electronic housemusic. §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§Glitch *withinthe #work is a symbol of non### ### conformance A # broken cog within # the machine

computational_salvation

“COMPUTATIONAL_SALVATION” is a memetic, paranoiac-critique on the growing appeal of transhumanist philosophy and its leading proponent, Ray Kurzweil. The work speculates that the decline of third spaces along with the social and psychological consequences of our screen-centric world, has functioned as a premeditated tactic of techno-feudalist propaganda. Conditioning society towards desensitisation, nihilism and an increasing preference for virtual environments over physical reality. The piece takes on the form of a modern day spiritual premonition about the transition to a techno-feudalist society within a club inspired installation. It presents itself as a multi-channel moving image piece on multiple CRT screens and surveillance monitors, accompanied by an immersive/overbearing sound-scape.
