About

I am a mixed media textile designer that works with digital and screen print across textiles and hard surfaces. I am recognised for my innovative use of texture, cohesive design, and strong colour stories. My work is inspired by the patterns, textures, and overlooked details of everyday life, with this context informing my motif development, alongside CMF shaping my material and colour decisions throughout the design process. Blending digital and traditional processes, I work using a range of materials to create tactile, visually engaging surfaces that balance material experimentation with thoughtful contextual storytelling. My designs aim to bring texture and material depth into contemporary interior spaces.

‘Biophilia’ focuses on the innate connection between humans and nature. I chose to base the project around houseplants because they reinforce this idea as we literally bring small pieces of nature into our homes to care for. My intention was for this project to do a similar job by bringing the uplifting, energising ambience of nature into interior spaces. To capture this, I focused heavily on the textures and patterns found in the imagery I worked from, including various calatheas and orchids. My design process involved observational drawing, mark‑making, and trialling compositions and colourways digitally. Using digital print, screen printing, and some laser processes, I created these outcomes designed specifically to establish an atmosphere of liveliness and wellbeing within residential interiors.
