About

As a spatial designer with a multidisciplinary background across different scales of space, I focus on researching and addressing contemporary urban issues. I graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, where my studies centered on Creative Urban Practices. My graduation project “Beyond the Sight” explored inclusive urban design strategies for people with visual and broader sensory impairments. Taking Glasgow city center as a case study, I proposed sensory-based wayfinding strategies that reimagine how cities can be navigated through touch, sound, and spatial perception. The project was honored with the Chairman’s Medal 2024 at the Glasgow School of Art. Grounded in architecture, spatial theory, and creative practice, my work continues to investigate how urban environments can become more equitable, inclusive, and sensorially rich for all.

Beyond the Sight is a research and design project that reimagines urban wayfinding through multi-sensory strategies. Using Glasgow city center as a case study, it addresses the challenges faced by people with visual and broader sensory impairments in navigating urban environments. The project integrates visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory cues to propose inclusive wayfinding systems that enhance orientation, safety, and spatial experience. Through sensory mapping, site analysis, and design interventions in Buchanan Street and George Square, the work demonstrates how inclusive design can create more equitable and engaging cities for all communities.
