About

I am Raffaele Rescigno, I am 22 years old and I am originally from Lanzara, a small village in Campania, rich in history and tradition that have been handed down from generation to generation. It is right here that my story began, surrounded by people who have made this profession their life. Since I was a child I have had a strong interest in art and fashion. I have always loved experimenting by drawing and always creating something new. I am a hard-working, honest guy with a strong spirit of initiative, who likes to deal with new and stimulating situations. In recent years I have dedicated myself to the academy, which has allowed me to get to know the world of accessories, a new world for me, where one can give vent to creativity but remaining linked to the concept of tradition, a concept which for me is fundamental for the development of all my work. Furthermore, I have dedicated myself to volunteering in the past, the latter has allowed me to adapt easily to new environments, people and situations. With my works I always try to convey an important feeling, which many have forgotten, Joy. My creations aim to bring out the child within each of us as a means of feeling like a child again, always remaining linked to the concept of tradition that we find in the materials and manufacturing of the product.

ANIMA PURA Impulse origin of life, fast as capturing a photo, but significant as a child’s artistic instinct - that’s the essence of “Anima Pura”. Anima Pura is a toy train that starts from childhood and reaches old age without ever stopping. Two pure ages, generating different impulses: the first, mother of the exploratory, playful and creative impulse; the second one mother of the impulse to preserve and maintain that tradition which allows man to live over time without ever falling into oblivion. Right here, between these two ages...this collection was born .It tells of that child, now grown up, but not tired of playing or muttering the wall with his crayons, maybe now replaced by a spray can. Testo Anima Pura takes shape from the photographic project “Wilder Mann” by Charles Frèger, which tells the popular traditions of Europe, from North to South, portraying zoomorphic figures, whose rudimentary appearance and ritual dress refer to universal nudity. Frèger tries to capture “pure souls” trough his machine, paying particular attention to the Nordic population who, through their masks, make life a great canvas, where they overturn all the colors they can, thus painting the candid and cold landscapes of the north. In fact, BLU plays with creativity and spirituality; coloring the accessories transports them into a pure and harmonious dimension, just like in the works of Nicolas Denino which recall an inner world warehouse of the artist’s childhood memories. It is a flawless joy to discover a pure soul. They are souls that resemble the first children’s books: they contain few words and are full of colors. (Christian Bobin)
