About
I’m Reema, an interior designer with a growing interest in exhibition, spatial, and experience-led design. My work is driven by the idea that spaces should feel meaningful as well as functional, combining thoughtful concepts, cultural references, and practical details to create environments people can genuinely connect with. I enjoy developing projects from early research and storytelling through to material choices, visualisation, and final design development.
Please watch the video to learn more. Afkarna, meaning “our ideas” in Arabic, represents the collective thoughts, stories, and voices of the community. Afkarna is a transitional creative hub designed to support emerging designers after graduation. The project addresses the gap between education and professional practice by providing spaces for making, collaboration, mentorship, and public engagement. The concept is rooted in thresholds and pathways, inspired by existing architectural elements on site, like the geometric doors and explores movement as a way to connect people, ideas, and disciplines. The design brings together studios, workshops, and exhibition areas to create an environment that encourages growth, exchange, and visibility within the creative community.
