A passionate and inquisitive industrial designer. Within my creations, I prioritize incorporating value in cultural, aesthetic, and everyday contexts. Whether envisioning new products, enhancing user interactions, or streamlining manufacturing techniques, my consistent pursuit revolves around thoughtful involvement in daily life with design.
Vivid is an innovative breast health monitor that uses ultrasound technology to provide accurate, at-home breast screenings, addressing the barriers of accessibility, comfort, and early detection in breast health monitoring. Approximately one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, with early detection significantly increasing survival rates to 93% or higher within the first five years. The inspiration for Vivid came from recognizing barriers to timely and comfortable breast health screenings. This project aims to make breast health monitoring more accessible, and empowering for high-risk groups. Upcoming technologies for at-home medical devices seem to fail to address the emotional aspects. Vivid urges the importance of empathetic design in the medical field to ensure that solutions are effective, compassionate, and user-centered.
