The Future of Denim Branding

The winner in the People's Vote will have their work shown at a leading industry event this summer, alongside the work of our winner chosen by our prestigious judging panel. The Future of Denim Branding by Avery Dennison RBIS aims to discover the most forward thinking student/graduate that is able to combine intelligent branding with design creativity to set a new standard in what the future holds for branding within the denim industry. Prize: The winner will be invited for a paid internship to work with the Avery Dennison RBIS branding, innovation and creative teams to develop their designs and bring the branding to life, witnessing the designs evolve from artwork to samples to final product on a pair of jeans. The grand finale will take place at an industry event in June/July 2015 (TBC) showcasing the final products to denim experts from around the world. Design the branding for fictitious brand 'Uniti Denim' on a typical 5 pocket jean. There are no limits or restrictions to your creativity, make the brand your own! Remember, we are looking for branding designs, not designs of the jeans themselves…

Research different types of denim branding to fully understand what is currently used within the market. You should use this to build your knowledge and understanding on what the consumer expects to see on a pair of jeans. Remember we are looking to what the future holds for the denim industry therefore you should be creative and innovative in your thinking of how to transform denim branding.

When uploading your design files please include a description of your branding including the materials you would use as well as your target customer and pricing information.
