About

I am a textile designer passionate about jacquard weaving, pattern drawing and interiors. In my work, I love to combine functionality with sensibility, investigating how textiles objects can contribute in bringing more sensory stimulation to everyday-life.

The Transformable Textile Interior presents a new way to design multifuntional objects using a textile designer approach. The project consists of a collection of five transformable indoor textiles meant to adapt to different activities throughout the day: a teapot cover/tablecloth, a coaster/napkin, a room divider/mattress, a chair cover/blanket and a cushion/sleeping bag. They form together an evolving interior, a space-saving and material-saving solution especially relevant for small spaces. The textiles are all jacquard-woven with only natural materials and their transformable shapes are created within the weave, requiring as little as possible cutting and sewing. On the textiles, intricate hand-drawn patterns and textures stimulate the users' senses and engage them in a deeper emotional connection with the transformable objects.
