The fun, playful and youthful moments of the sixties has influenced my final collection, ‘Cut to the Fun’, for a brighter, post covid society. The Sixties is an era I am particularly drawn to, with the silhouettes and bold colours being details I have taken and developed in my practice adding my own take through experimentation. Details such as circular cut-outs I discovered from the library magazine archives and my visit to Hampshire Wardrobe, allowed me to push my pattern cutting and link this with current fashion trends. I have also turned to family images from this time, adding a more personal hint to my collection. As well as mix and match elements throughout allowing it to be a versatile, sustainable, and fresh collection for the new post covid society.
