Cameron Yau is a British born Chinese designer based in the United Kingdom. Following internships from Martine Rose and Eudon Choi, Yau has recently graduated from the University of Westminster, specialising in Fashion Design.
'REBOOT', is a collection humanising technologies and machinery via the language of clothing. Whilst Rupert Sanders' 'Ghost in the Shell' and CD Projekt Red's 'Cyberpunk 2077' were used as direct influences, projecting those stories through human qualities were the driving force of the project. A key aspect was the act of aging away; an antique colour palette via natural dyes, laser engraving on untreated leather, to name a few, were techniques used to tell this story.
