About
My name is Anna Löffelhardt and I am a german Fashion Designer, currently based in Milan.
My studies in Fashion Design have continued and curated my love and interest for textiles. I have a passion for materials and craft, as well as combining them with modern technologies and concepts.
In nature the concept of symbiosis is wide spread, two different organisms working together. One could argue the ideal form of symbiosis is based on a balance, the human symbiosis with their environment though has become more and more unbalanced. The idea of symbiosis is the core of this project and is looked for from material to design. Many innovative materials, which were center of my thesis research, are made with or from organisms which often enter into symbiotic relationships and are the inspiration for this project. How much more dissimilar could human and nature become? In big parts of our beings we are heavily estranged from our original nature and environment. Our relationship is no longer one of balance. It is one of Parasitism, not mutualism.
