About
I'm Danni and I'm an undergraduate double-degree student who has just completed my three years of design courses, and plan to complete the remaining media courses in 2024. Over the past three years of my undergraduate studies, I have primarily specialised in industrial design and screen media and have completed a series of collaborative design courses in the first year of design courses. Drawing and watching film and television is something I enjoy doing in my free time, and this has affected me to build the idea of studying design in the future from an early age.I love the sense of accomplishment that comes from bringing an idea to life through multiple design steps and believe that a good team and effective communication can help to create better designs that meet the needs of the clients. With the increasing diversity of transportation modes, Melbourne Buses seems to be losing its popularity among young urbanites. In the project's research, only one in four respondents said they would actively choose to take the bus, and many more said that the bus ride experience was not as good as other public transportation. The ‘Opti-BusRide’ project aims to optimize the design of the bus system to attract more riders by reducing passenger travel error rates and improving their travel experience. According to the current bus transit system, there are many travel moments needs reconsidered. These moments include planning trips, finding stops, getting on and off the bus at the correct stop, and the need to constantly monitor the bus route during travel. ‘Opti-BusRide’ improves the anxiety of travelling with a new app system that provides more accurate directions, more detailed Bus information, a boarding and alighting reminder system, and a more convenient payment system, to make our bus trips easier and more enjoyable. ‘Opti-BusRide’ also connects the app, the bus, and the station system, utilising LED lighting and a multitude of display systems on bus and station design to let riders visually identify the correct bus and stop, reducing mistakes while travelling.
