Course / Program Title: Jewelry design and metalwork MA
I began my journey as a jewelry designer at the Art School of Buda, and further honed my design skills during my studies in the metalworking bachelor's program at MOME. After the loss of a close friend, I was drawn to the theme of transience, which has since been a continuous source of inspiration for my work. In my jewelry, I employ both traditional goldsmith techniques and alternative methods to create unique textures and forms. My goal is for my creations to be more than just jewelry; I want them to be unique stories that bring joy to those who wear them.
Time never stands still, and change is constant. My creation aims to represent transience, life, and change through the symbolism of dried flowers and crystals. The background made of dried leaves symbolizes permanence, while the brooches placed on it represent the changes that occur in human life. As the brooches are worn, they continuously transform-the crystals slowly wear away, the leaves break, and the original colors fade. Time and change are constant, but the events of a human life and the body in which we experience them are always different.
