Course / Program Title: Art History & Curating
Hello! My name is Charlie Linton and I am a recent graduate from Manchester School of Art, where I studied art history & curating. I have experience curating exhibitions of various forms and in different locations, working with local communities and groups to create new artworks. Further to this, I currently work part-time with my family and at the Big Heritage sites in Chester. I am also a committee member at Castle Part Arts Centre (located in Frodsham) and I have recently joined the steering group with the Deliah Derbyshire Day Charity.
Many Skills, Many Arts: An All-saints Retrospect was an exhibition that observed the visual and institutional changes of the All-Saints campus at Manchester School of Art. The display showcased imagery and videos of previous staff, and students, and documented the prior use of old and current buildings. It was a chance for audiences to understand how their local surrounding used to look, learn about who was here before they were, and reflect on what the art school is today.
