About
I am a recent womenswear graduate. Having completed my BA study specialising in knitwear, my graduate collection titled ‘Point of No Return’ took inspiration from oil spills, with the aim of bringing awareness of the harm caused and the severity of the resulting, and lasting, aftermath.
I have a passion for experimentation into challenging the boundaries of materials and manipulation. My graduate collection used natural yarns, to which I stretched and bonded second-hand tights onto my knit.
My final collection titles 'Point of No Return'- after studying for three years at De Montfort University specialising in knitwear, working with domestic and Dubied machines (7, 10 and 12 gauge and 4 feeder machines), I've created a final collection inspired by the pollution caused from oil spills around the globe.
This Project titles 'Drown' drew inspiration from the current epidemic of shark fishing, specifically looking at fishing nets as a cause of fatalities and shark finning. Featuring a wide variety of experimentation into knit adaptation including vinyl and liquid latex.
